City of Rochester Officially Proclaims “Creator and Foodie Day” Founded by Artist and Business Professional Kadesmode

ROCHESTER, NY (February 2026) — The City of Rochester has officially approved the designation of “Creator and Foodie Day,” March 19th, 2026, a landmark municipal initiative founded by award-winning multidisciplinary artist and creative strategist Kade “Kadesmode” Henderson.

The proclamation, sanctioned by the City of Rochester and Mayor Malik’s team, marks a strategic bridge between the city’s thriving culinary landscape and its burgeoning digital creator economy. As the founder and 9-time charting artist, Kadesmode designed the initiative to empower local creators, independent restaurants, and business owners, fostering economic growth and cultural visibility.

“Creator and Foodie Day is about more than just social media; it’s about civic infrastructure for the digital age,” says Henderson. “By connecting the vision of local creators with the heartbeat of our food scene, we are creating a sustainable ecosystem for Rochester’s creative class.”

This proclamation adds to Henderson’s extensive history of civic leadership. A former Miss Black New York USA and recipient of the Community Ambassador Award from Miss Black USA, she has previously been honored with a New York State Senate Commendation and a Governor Andrew Cuomo Community Excellence Award.

The announcement comes during a period of significant commercial momentum for Henderson’s musical persona, Kadesmode. Her 2025-2026 album, Luxury Label, and chart-topping single “Crown from Heaven” and “Praying Too” have recently surpassed 2 million streams, with international chart placements across Apple Music and iTunes.
